Athens, Voula

Two of lines will get you close and then you can maneuver from there.If you are coming from the center of Athens, the metro is a good option if you are heading to Elliniko, Glyfada, Voula, Vouliagmeni or beyond.

Athens Metro Line 1 (Green Line)

This is the oldest of the Athens Metro lines, running from Kifisia in the north to Piraeus near the port.  If you are in the center of Athens and heading to the port, this is the line for you!  This line also stops at Faliro which connects with the coastal tram line.  If you are arriving at the port and heading to coastal Voula, you will want to take the Green Line from Piraeus to Faliro and transfer to the tram.

Athens Metro Line 2  (Red Line)

The Red Line will take you from Syntagma to Elliniko metro station in about 20 minutes.  When you walk out of the station, you will realize that you are not at Voula yet.Decision time – bus or taxi to get you to Voula?

My advice to someone visiting the area, especially for the first time, is to take a taxi.   The buses in Athens are not very tourist friendly, so taxis are just a better option.When leaving the metro, follow signs that say ‘To Glyfada’. This station is located on Vouliagmenis Avenue and there is a cue of taxis waiting at the exit near the AB supermarket.
